It’s hoped a new Union competition will give players a clearer pathway from school to Super Rugby, and ultimately the Wallabies.
The ‘National Rugby Competition’ will be made up of nine teams, including two from Queensland – City and Country.
The latter will be sponsored by Bond University – which took over the Gold Coast Breakers last year.
