BYRON STUDENTS UNITE NATIONALLY IN SONG

Children at Byron Bay Public have united in song with students from across the country.
600 youngsters belted out their rendition of ‘Come Play Your Part’, a song specially written for the day.
“Feel the rhythm, keep the beat, feel it in your hands and in your feet.”
“They enjoy performing at Byron Bay and this was a special day for us,” said principal Geoff Spargo.
The purpose of the national sing-a-long was to re-ignite children’s interest in music education.
“A feeling good side but also has a very serious side where you actually learn things in music and that’s transposed into our other subjects,” Mr Spargo said.
