I want leadership from my Government
I don’t want silly insignificant policy initiatives (Like cash for clunkers which will be rorted because anyone can already get $2,000 trade in on any old clunker from car dealers. These cars are disposed of to wreckers so where is the value from this policy)
I want a gentle initial start to carbon pricing
I want an immediate start to treating waste water for human consumption and industry such that no water is wasted within 10 years
I want increases to funding of old age accommodation to fund high standard care for all aged. Current funding is massively inadequate to allow the increase in accommodation required and to fund the standard of care we would expect for ourselves.
I want refugees arriving by boat to be returned immediately to an appropriate overseas refugee centre and the numbers of approved refugees from these centres to be dramatically increased.
