Fresh data shows house prices in the Hunter have sky-rocketed in the past year.
The median price across the region rose by 12.7 per cent in the 12 months to March.
According to the Hunter Valley Research Foundation, sales volumes were also strong.
Researchers say the market upturn is partly due to the Reserve Bank not continually raising interest rates, and it’s been felt across much of the state.
