A man who drove at police with his car on a quiet Murwillumbah street in May, has avoided serving any time behind bars.
Matthew Eric Carven’s rampage began after police tried to pull him over for doing burnouts.
The confrontation left five officers injured.
Despite being slapped with 15 months jail… Carven’s sentence was suspended.
He was fined more than $1400.
