Ballina council has paved the way for the long awaited redevelopment of the Lennox Head Surf Club.
At today’s meeting, councillors voted unanimously to release $400,000 from council’s funds to go towards a development application as well as getting the land “construction ready”.
“It’s quite a large task because not only is designing a DA for a surf club it’s also the parking, the drainage the environment around the lake.”
The plan is to have the DA completed by the next federal election.
