The suburb’s Chamber of Commerce hopes it’s just the start of a development boom, with the state government looking to transform land on the northeastern side of the bridge.

I am laughing at this gentleman from the swansea business chamber, is he the one that convinced Woolworths to come to swansea, I don’t think so. where was he before ? and what has he got to show for apart from celebrating the arrival of a massive player like woolworths. I own Cozzies Cafe in swansea, the front and the side are entirely made of tinted glass from top to bottom, what does he want me to do about it ? I already have a professional window cleaner doing the job regularly, my landlord is for ever spending money on the maintenance of the building and making sure that all his tenants running a business keep upgrading and improving, as we speak renovations of the facade of the building are in motion and started weeks ago, new brighter signs will be fitted as well, I guess this man didn’t notice it. and he probably didn’t notice the unwanted rubbish that has gathered in the new gardens within days with Subway printed on it. We survived many years without his help and the non existant support of the swansea business chamber. All these years our end of town had not been included in street market day, 2281 celebration day… yet we were asked for support and sponsordship, we have learnt patience in hardship and we are all ready for action, the day has come, thank you to woolworths whose staffs at all levels enjoy very much our services and we have already started a very good relationship with the management.
I have never met this man from the business chamber but I don’t like to see my business finger pointed on the tv news in a diminishing way all because a spanking new multi million dollar building suddenly appears, I wish I had millions to spend at will, but I haven’t and I am proud of getting the support of so many in our community.
