Detectives are renewing their appeal for information into the attempted armed robbery of a security guard at Lambton in 2014.
On December 19, the 45-year-old was confronted by three men behind a bank on Alma Lane.
The trio assaulted him with bats and tried to steal his bag which contained cash.
The security guard managed to fire a shot before the men fled in a white Ford Laser.
He was treated for head and face injuries.
Police have now released a computer-generated image of a man, who they believe can assist with their investigation.
He’s believed to be aged between 20 and 25, about 180 centimetres tall, with dark hair and a mullet hairstyle.
