Ron Campbell has been elected the new mayor of Narrabri, after incumbent Catherine Redding chose not to contest in last night’s council meeting.
Mr Campbell, who runs the family-owned business Namoi Waste Corp, ran unopposed.
Councillors also unanimously voted to re-elect Cameron Staines as Deputy Mayor.
