The Port City Breakers and Port Sharks are finally getting the chance to battle it out on the field.
Tension between the two league sides has been escalating since the Breakers inception in 2005, with each club considering itself Port Macquarie’s premier team.
Different groupings mean they’ve never met on the field, but a trial match on March 13 has set the stage for the long-awaited showdown.
Organisers predict record crowds at the regional stadium, with 20 percent of gate takings going to the local hospital.
