A body has been found near Tweed Heads this morning, with police treating the death as suspicious.
Just before 7:30am, emergency services were called to a fire along Pollards Road at Dulguigan.
There, police discovered a burnt body.
The identity of the person is not known at this stage.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen unusual activity, or has concerns for a friend or family member to contact Crime Stoppers.
