Construction workers have begun clearing scaffolding which fell onto the roof of Lismore Base Hospital’s maternity unit, during a storm last Sunday.
Despite delays caused by the repairs, New South Wales Health Infrastructure is confident the hospital’s $80-million re-development will be completed on time, by mid-2016.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
