A car has crashed into an outdoor dining area, hitting a bystander on the Gold Coast.
Police say the driver of the car failed to negotiate a bend on Musgrave Street at Kirra, careering through the dining area before striking the male pedestrian around 1:20pm today.
He was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
The male driver was also taken to hospital for further observation.
