A team of Tamworth’s police officers took to the streets today to celebrate 100 years of women in New South Wales serving on the force.
Boasting more than the state’s average of 27 per cent female employment, the day was one of pride in the Oxley Local Area Command.
After carrying an Olympic-style torch into Bicentennial Park, they introduced members of the community to life on the beat.
The highlight of the crime-fighting showcase, a forensics truck.
