NORTH COAST SURF REPORT 24-07-09

As for surf this week, lucky the flathead were biting.
There’s been little to get excited about this week swell wise. Conditions have been spring-like, warm and sunny with light winds minus the important ingredient.
If you scouted around you may have come across the odd swell magnet providing some fun, half-metre waves.
Today we found a couple of young groms milking the best out of the small beach-break waves at Diggers Beach in Coffs Harbour. No doubt the end of school holidays lingering in the back of their minds.
The swell was half-to-one metre from the south and the wind stronger than the past few days. Waves should hang around over the weekend for the working crew to enjoy with the swell forecast to pick up as school resumes next week. Always the way.
Cheers, Noel.
