A man’s nose has been broken during a violent break and enter in Newcastle.
Police say it occurred during an altercation between two men at a Tighe Street property in Waratah at around five-o’clock yesterday.
The fight broke out after the 56-year-old homeowner confronted an unknown man inside his home.
The intruder fled and was last seen on Tighe Street.
The victim was treated at Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital for a broken nose.
Investigations are continuing.
