CYCLISTS PEDDLE FOR CAREFLIGHT

Cycling can be a real pain in the backside especially when you’ve been in the saddle for nine hours and 250 kilometres.

The ‘Toowoomba to Gold Coast Base to Base Challenge’ helps keep RACQ Careflight in the air and saving lives.

This year’s event was supported by some big names, including former superbike champ, Troy Bayliss, Cycling star Robbie McEwen, and league legend Mat Rogers.

They were sore, but far from sorry, after raising 70-thousand dollars.

“We had drizzle we had steep descent we had a couple of crashes which fortunately didn’t end up in injuries.”

But that was all forgotten, after some well-deserved cuddles and kisses.
