The Country Music Capital has proven it’s a tourist hotspot, with two of the region’s attractions taking out gold at the Country and Outback Regional Tourism Awards.
Tamworth’s Country Music Festival came out on top in the Major Festivals and Events category, while Nundle’s Woollen Mill brought it home in the Cultural Tourism section.
Winners will go on to enter the state awards, to be held in Sydney later this year.
