Crime hot spots in Byron Bay will soon be seen in a new light, with the state government announcing $50,000 in funding for security lighting.
The new lights will be installed along Fletcher Street, which has been identified as a trouble spot by police.
It’s hoped the lighting will improve safety at night, and discourage anti-social behaviour.
