COMMUNITY AWAITS AG STATION DECISION

A decision on the future of the Glen Innes Agriculture Station will be made at the end of the month.
Members of a working party pushing to keep the centre open have submitted a report to the Department of Primary Industries.
It outlines the value of research at the station, and offers a total of $1.25-million in funding from various organisations and agencies.
The minister, Ian Macdonald will make a decision on the Glen Innes Station later this month, after the seven other state facilities marked for closure submit their reports.
