SUNKEN VESSEL SALVAGED

A cabin cruiser has been salvaged after it was swept onto a breakwall at Coffs Harbour and sank.
The full extent of the damage was evident as the vessel was pulled onto Jetty Beach and lifted onto a truck.
The skipper had been attempting to move the 12-metre craft from the boat ramp to the marina when it ran aground, causing the engine to stall.
The crew was not able to restart the motor, and the vessel’s hull was ripped open when it washed up on the rocks.
Insurers now plan to auction the wrecked cruiser.
