An off-duty police officer has saved the life a one-year-old girl after she nearly drowned in Wee Waa over the weekend.
At 3:30 on Saturday afternoon, Senior Constable Shane Middleton was walking along Alma Street when he saw a woman screaming and running from the local pool with a child in her arms.
The officer commenced CPR on the baby, who regained consciousness.
