We have to slow down the CSG industries untill we know ALL of its impacts.I’m a grand mother ,we will win this one because there is no room for failure ….we own it to our descendants…we have fund the courage to speack against the geants multinationales that are ruining the EARTH…we won’t stop….I’m old already ,have had a long happy life….I could give it to save the future…
There is not enough understanding of the consequences of massive Gasfields on shore in government and in our community. It is vital for people to know what has happened in the USA and how cynical the gas industry is. People don’t understand that the gas is to be extracted to go by pipeline to Curtis Island and James Price Point solely to sell at a high price to China. Every country is rushing to do this but when the bubble bursts no pun intended, who will pay the public, worker and environmental costs? Us, that’s who! In Europe the European Commission and governments are moving quickly to try to control this outrageous industry. A number of recent government reports have said that there are serious risks to aquifer contamination from unconventional drilling, with both fracking or without, and that it should NOT be done in any drinking water catchments. Why are our Federal and state governments not doing the same? Because there are gas industry ‘plants’ everywhere in government bureaucracies and politicians. It needs cleaning up before we’re turned into a 3rd world country raped by miners.
Well at last some one is taking notice.
Our N.S.W. politicians must listen to their electorate.
Brad Hazzard ,Chris Hartcher and the O’Farrell govt. will have our children’s blood on their hands.
Clean Water,and Air are our basic Human rights.
The C.S.G.Industry is the biggest threat to our nation’s Health and access to clean water. Our precious Bushland and best farmland is under severe threat.
These polluting ,damaging practices will affect all future generations ,
long after the C.S.Gas reserves are exhausted.
