Two police-officers have been injured in a head-on collision on Brunker Road this morning.
Shortly after midnight, a Volvo collided with the police car.
The driver, a 56-year-old woman, was travelling north when her vehicle veered into the southbound lanes.
She was trapped for a short-time before being taken to John-Hunter Hospital for mandatory testing and treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the police vehicle, a female constable and her passenger, a senior constable, sustained bruises and arm injuries.
Luckily, two civilian passengers also in the vehicle were uninjured.
The crash is now under investigation.
