An 80-year-old woman has escaped serious injury following a car accident near Uralla this morning.
Just after 11 o’clock emergency services were called to Kings Town Road, following reports a four-wheel-drive had rolled onto its roof.
Police say the driver failed to negotiate a right-hand bend, drove into an embankment and hit a tree.
It took emergency crews 30 minutes to free the woman from the vehicle.
The 80-year-old was conveyed to Armidale hospital suffering chest pains, but is in a stable condition.
