The Christmas spirit was alive in Tamworth today with the official launch of the Wishing Tree Appeal.
Christmas carols and Highland dancers featured at the launch, while the appeal itself aims to raise more than 500, 000 gifts Australian-wide.
“Each year we try to get 2000 gifts for people, because each year the number grows bigger and bigger. And the fgifts do stay here in Tamworth, in a Tamworth district. I itnkh it’s really important hat people do know that.”
Anyone wishing to donate should head to City Plaza Kmart.
