Two teenagers have been charged over the assault of an off-duty police officer in Bellingen.
Police say in the early hours of Sunday morning, the pair approached the officer outside a hotel on Hyde Street, and asked for a cigarette.
It’s alleged the duo then became aggressive when he declined.
The teens, aged 15 and 19, will appear in court on September 9.
