MOTORISTS STILL SPEEDING

Meanwhile, speeding motorists caused headaches for northwest police during Operation Tortoise, which ended at midnight.
In the Oxley command, 102 people were caught exceeding speed limits over the Easter break, including four drivers who were clocked doing more than 150 kilometres an hour.
155 people were caught speeding in the New England while 34 people were fined in the Barwon area.
In total, 14 motorists were caught drink driving, and there were 15 motor vehicle crashes, one of them near Tamworth being a fatality.
