FLOODING UPDATE | FLOOD EVACUATION WARNING FOR BULAHDELAH

BREAKING | The SES is directing people in low lying areas of North Haven, Dunbogan, Diamond Head and foreshore areas of Laurieton to evacuate by 8pm tonight.
An evacuation centre is being set up at the Laurieton United Services Club, (2 Seymour Street, Laurieton).
BREAKING | The SES is directing people in low lying areas of Port Macquarie to evacuate by 8pm, saying once floodwater passes 1.75 on the Settlement Point gauge, properties will be inundated.

Lavenders Bridge had to be closer earlier today, as the Bellinger River rose two full metres between 9 and 11 o’clock.

The Nambucca Valley is copping an absolute drenching at the moment.

The SES is urging residents to be on alert and keep an eye on flood warnings.

The SES is asking us to heed the warning, ‘if it’s flooded, forget it.’

This driver was caught out at Bulahdelah and had to be rescued this afternoon.

Heavy rain continues to hammer down across most of the broadcast region.

Port Stephens, Coffs Harbour, Macksville and Kempsey are among the hardest hit areas this morning, with wild weather and flood evacuation warnings in place in some low-lying spots.

A flood evacuation warning has been issued by the SES for low lying areas of Bulahdelah.

Some of the usual trouble spots in Kempsey and surrounding suburbs are underwater this morning.

This was the Sherwood bridge at 6am.

Kempsey Council says all upriver bridges that cross the Macleay River are closed or expected to be closed as the river level rises today.
Armidale Road between Raspberry Road and Black Bird Flat is open for emergency and essential services only.
