Event park at Mt Penang Parklands has now been switched on.
Electricity has been permanently installed at the park – which is capable of accommodating up to 25,000 people.
The upgrade is expected to attract major events to the Central Coast.
Oktoberfest will be the first to use the new facilities.
While on the coast, the New South Wales Minister for Tourism George Souris announced $100,000 to promote tourism in the region.
Central Coast tourism will use it to fund a digital marketing campaign called ‘need a getaway plan’ targetting Sydneysiders.
