TWO CRITICAL IN TWO GRAFTON ACCIDENTS

A man and a woman are both in a critical condition following two separate accidents north of Grafton this morning.

A 65-year-old woman received critical injuries when two vehicles collided on Yamba Road at Palmers Island at around eight o’clock.

The woman’s utility was torn apart by the impact.

She has since been airlifted to Gold Coast Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

In a second incident at Ulmarra, a 60-year-old man received internal injuries after he was crushed against a fence by a backhoe.

The man was transported to Grafton Base Hospital where his condition is listed as critical.
