The region’s State Emergency Service crews have returned from Brisbane after helping with last week’s storm clean-up.
Volunteers from Moree, Tamworth, Gunnedah, Narrabri and Bingara answered the call for help, cutting down trees and repairing roofs damaged in the fierce weather.
Namoi Region Controller, Kath Cain, says it’s a timely reminder for anyone interested in volunteering for the service to sign up as we head into the summer storm season.
