A 39 year old man has been refused bail after police allegedly seized around 700,000 dollars worth of drugs from sophisticated hydroponic setup in Wardell yesterday.
Darren John Bailes is accused of growing 336 cannabis plants at a Pimlico Road property while possessing an additional 20 kilograms of processed cannabis.
“We anticipate that it will interrupt local supplies in the area ”
It’s also alleged Bailes was stealing electricity to run the drug lab.
He’s been remanded in custody to appear in Lismore district court on June 21.
A 26 year old female was also charged with knowingly taking part in the cultivation of a prohibited drug and has been granted conditional bail.
