Police are treating a fire that destroyed a home near Lake Macquarie as suspicious.
The blaze at a property on Lake Street in Blackalls Park was extinguished by firefighters at around 2:30pm yesterday.
No one was home at the time, but the fire caused significant damage to the property.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
