COFFS MOURNS PASSING OF TONI MOOY

The Coffs Harbour community is mourning the loss of another of the well known Hurley twins.

Relatives of Toni Mooy, nee Hurley, say she passed away peacefully on Monday, aged 95.

She and her late sister Adelie were the twin daughters of famous film maker Frank Hurley, who took part in an expedition by Sir Ernest Shackelton to the Antarctic in 1934.

For years, the sisters promoted tourism in Coffs Harbour and were known as the Banana Twins.

Toni’s funeral will be held at the Coffs Harbour crematorium tomorrow afternoon.
