A Surfers Paradise man accused of murdering a New Zealand tourist has had other matters heard in Southport Court, that are unrelated to the balcony fall death, earlier this month.
Gable Tostee is facing four separate charges stemming from incidents in January and July – they include assault or obstruct police and driving under the influence of liquor.
His lawyer told the court he was recently charged with another ‘significant matter’, and is now in custody for that.
Tostee will apply for bail in the Supreme Court on September eight.
