A 32-year-old man has died while swimming at New Brighton Beach yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the unpatrolled beach after reports a man had been located unconscious in the water, around 4:45pm.
Members of the public pulled the man to shore.
They commenced CPR, but sadly he died at the scene.
