MARINERS TO WEAR PINK AGAINST SKY BLUES

Mariners coach Paul Okon has confirmed that an Argentine number 10 will trial with the club in the next week. For now his full focus is on a blockbuster clash with the Sky Blues, and there’s real belief that his men can inflict Sydney’s first loss of the season. The team will wear pink on Sunday in support of women’s cancer research, prevention and support.

MARINERS PREPARE FOR NYE CLASH

A young-look Mariners are preparing to take on fourth placed Melbourne City in their final match of 20-16. The Mariners aren’t fazed by the city’s star power addition to the New Year’s Eve clash, with Socceroos legend Tim Cahill named in the starting line-up. “He’s a threat and he’s playing in a bit of a different role for Melbourne City but you know that when Tim’s in the box, that you can’t give him an inch.” The game will kick-off at Central Coast Stadium at 7 o’clock tomorrow night.
