KNIGHTS ADD MORE EXPERIENCE TO THEIR FORWARD PACK

The Knights have added more experience to their forward pack, signing two-time premiership winner Chris Heighington to a one-year deal. Having grown up on the Central Coast, the 34-year-old made his debut with the Tigers in 2003, before switching to the Sharks in 2013. He’s played more than 300 games in the NRL. Heighington will represent England in this year’s World Cup.

SIMMONS FLIES BUT 76ERS SINK TO THIRD STRAIGHT LOSS

Newcastle product Ben Simmons has again shown flashes of brilliance for Philadelphia in the NBA pre-season. Up against the Celtics in Boston, the rookie finished with 15 points, including a handful of highlights. “Nice pass. Simmons with the finish.” It wasn’t enough to stop a third straight loss for the 76ers – who start the regular season against Washington on October 19.

KING CRASHES ON MOUNT PANORAMA

Luke King’s run of bad luck on Mount Panorama continues, following a shocking start to Round Four of the Toyota 86 Series in Bathurst today. Coming off an incident in race one, it only got worse for King in race two, crashing on the first lap. The 27 year old found himself facing the wrong way before getting himself in line to continue the race. King finished in 25th spot this afternoon, and will tomorrow compete the round when he lines up for race three.
