NO PODIUM IN PARIS FOR SUP STAR

While there was mayhem on the street’s of Paris across the weekend, its waterways hosted the biggest SUP race in the history of the sport and the images were no less impressive. The Central Coast’s Terrene Black was in the field, navigating her way through hundreds of amateurs on the River Seine, including the paddling dinosaurs. She narrowly missed the podium in a sprint finish. The final event of the year for the Toowoon Bay Lifeguard is in the Canary Islands this weekend.

MOGUL MATT MISSES PODIUM IN FINLAND

Winter Olympics silver medallist Matt Graham has missed the podium in the opening World Cup round of the season in Ruka Finland. The Narara 24 year-old finishing eighth… Canadian legend Mikael Kingsbury claimed his 50th career victory with a brilliant run – scoring 88.14. Next stop on the Tour is China this weekend.

CARMICHAEL GOES DOWN IN FOURTH ROUND

The Central Coast’s Wade Carmichael has been eliminated in Round Four at the Vans World Cup at Sunset Beach. The World number seven was always on the back foot against Joel Parkinson, Griffin Colapinto and Leo Fioravanti. He finished fourth, recording a top score of just a three point-five. He’ll now have one day to rest up ahead of the legendary Pipeline Masters.
