230 CANNABIS PLANTS SEIZED NORTH OF GRAFTON

A 57-year-old man has been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into cannabis plantations in the state’s north. 230 cannabis plants, with a potential street value of $460,000, were seized from an area within the Banyabba Nature Reserve, north of Grafton, on Thursday afternoon. It’s alleged the 57-year-old was standing near several cannabis plants when he was arrested. He was taken to Grafton Police Station where he was charged.

MOTORCYCLIST FLOWN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING PACIFIC HIGHWAY CRASH

Delays on the Pacific Highway north of Yamba have eased, following a crash between a motorcycle and a car. The accident happened at around 1 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Tullymorgan-Jackybulbin Road. The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the scene, and transported a 40-year-old to Lismore Base Hospital with multiple leg fractures.

It’s almost time for Australian kids to go back to school, and the cost of supplies can hurt their parents’ hip-pockets. WOMAN TREATED FOR INTERNAL INJURIES AFTER NORTH COAST CRASH

A woman in her 40s has been flown to hospital, following a single vehicle crash on the state’s far north coast. The accident happened at Cudgera Creek just after 2 o’clock on Monday afternoon, with initial reports suggesting the car left the road and rolled, before coming to rest in a nearby paddock. Paramedics, alongside a clinical team from the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter treated the woman for chest and internal injuries. She’s been flown to Gold Coast University Hospital.
