NSW COUNTRY JUNIOR RUGBY TEAMS DOMINATED BY CITY COUNTERPARTS

The New South Wales Country boys have been dominate by their City counterparts, on the field yesterday in Tamworth. The annual City versus Country carnival saw the under-14’s, 15’s and under-16’s boys sides, all suffer defeats. With the carnival itself much about exposure. TAMWORTH TRI COLOURS RUGBY CARNIVAL WELCOMES IN OVER 500 JUNIOR PLAYERS

More than 500 junior rugby players from across the North West put on their club colours yesterday for the Tamworth Tri Colours Rugby carnival. From the tiny-tots in the under-6s through to the under-12’s, the gala day was all about inclusiveness, with girls and boys combining for three matches each. Around 40 teams from the North West region participated in the carnival, with the Maitland Blacks also travelling up the New England Highway to take part. PLEASE NOTE: AUDIO UNAVAILABLE.

KANGAROOS TOWELLED UP BY NOMADS AS EAGLES UPSET SWANS

The Narrabri Eagles recorded an upset win over the Tamworth Swans on the weekend, in North West AFL. While the New England Nomads won comfortably over the Tamworth Kangaroos. The Nomads led 75 to 21 at the main break, before the goals continued flowing in the remaining two-quarters. Angus Quail kicked four majors for the Nomads, as the New England boys ran away 81 point winners. towelled up
