A fantastic result for Point Clare swimmer, Kirk Palmer at the Olympics. He’s won a bronze medal in the 4×200 metre relay, behind the US and Russia. While Palmer wasn’t in the team that swam in the final this afternoon, the 21 year old secured the Aussies’ spot with his swim last night, much to the joy of father Ian. Last night Ian Palmer sat nervously at home to watch his son Kirk compete in his first olympics.
