REBELS BIKIE MEMBER 7TH PERSON CHARGED OVER CENTRAL COAST MURDER

A life-member of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged over the alleged murder of Clint Starkey on the Central Coast last year. Shortly after midnight on April 6, 42-year-old Starkey presented to Gosford Hospital with serious head injuries. He was later flown to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died. Six men have been charged in relation to Mr Starkey’s death. They remain before the courts. Following further investigations, a 50-year-old man was arrested with the assistance of Strike Force Raptor at a Narara home this morning. He was refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court today.

TERRIGAL HOME DESTROYED BY BLAZE

A home has been destroyed by fire on the Central Coast this morning. Fire crews were called to Wilson Road, Terrigal shortly before 10am, with the blaze brought under control within an hour. The road is currently blocked off, with asbestos confirmed on-site. Witnesses have told NBN News that the blaze sounded like an explosion going off. Thankfully, no one was inside at the time. The cause is being investigated.

MAN CHARGED OVER CENTRAL COAST BREAK AND ENTERS

A 33-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into multiple break and enters on the Central Coast. It’s understood a man broke into seven shops at Killcare in the early hours of Monday, making off with a number of items including cash and jewellery. The offences were reported to police, with a man arrested in his vehicle on Jarrett Street at Wyoming yesterday. The man’s facing a string of charges including seven counts of break and enter, and resist arrest. He is expected to face Gosford Local Court today.

ETTALONG CHANNEL DREDGING PREPARATIONS BEGIN

After months of political back-and-forth, it seems ferries and boats will soon be able to access the Ettalong Channel again. Preparations began today for the dredging of the channel, to clear away the large silt build-up. The state government has funded the $600,000 project. It’s hoped work will be underway by Friday, taking up to five weeks. (VISION ONLY)

TRUCK ROLLOVER ON THE CENTRAL COAST

Traffic slowed to a crawl at Buff Point on the Central Coast earlier today, after a cement truck overturned at a roundabout on the Central Coast Highway. The truck was believed to be travelling east along the road at around 7:30 this morning when it rolled. Emergency crews took around six hours to clean up the site, two cranes used to lift the vehicle into a upright position. The driver escaped uninjured.

PIZZA BOY ROBBED ON THE CENTRAL COAST

A 17-year-old pizza delivery driver has been grabbed by the throat and threatened with a knife, while at work on the Central Coast. It’s understood the young man was returning to his car, after knocking on the door of a home on Tuggerah Parade at Long Jetty at around 7:30 last night, when he was grabbed by a man. The man threatened the teenager, before making off with pizzas and cash. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance in his late 20s, around 180cm tall and with blonde stubble on his face. A woman, seen with the man, is described as being in her early 20s, with a slim build, dark long hair, and piercings on her face.
