Stephen Mount began his media career as a reporter and producer with NBN almost 20 years ago before taking up a role with National Nine News in 2003, where he was the Northern Territory's sport and weekend news presenter and presenter / producer of his own weekly sports show. In 2006 he joined the Newcastle Knights as Media and Communications Manager where he spent five seasons before moving to the Hunter Medical Research Institute. After six years in business management he's returned to NBN as a casual reporter and producer while studying law at the University of Newcastle.

CRASH BRINGS TRAFFIC TO A STOP ON HANNELL STREET

Traffic on Hannell Street, Wickham came to a standstill this afternoon after a vehicle crashed and landed on its roof near the Cowper Street roundabout. Rescue crews righted the Honda sedan at around 3.30, while the driver spoke to police. The wreckage was loaded onto a tilt tray before traffic resumed as normal. The driver was taken from the scene by police. (VISION ONLY)

POSTIE BIKE NATIONALS UNDERWAY AT MAITLAND

The humble postie bike is the centre of attention at Maitland this weekend with 100 riders setting out for a rally through the Hunter to launch the Postie Bike Nationals. Today’s ride attracted both original and modified versions of the Aussie classic for a four hour cruise before returning to the Maitland Steamfest Rally ground. The event continues tomorrow with letterbox races, a burn out competition and show and shine.
