Petition to keep Newcastle Showground in community hands

The Newcastle Show has wrapped up for another year, and organisers have shifted focus to keeping the showground in community hands.

They’re calling on the New South Wales Government to make sure it remains with the Newcastle Agricultural, Horticultural and Industrial Association, amid the big plans for Hunter Park.

An online petition has so far gained more than 700 signatures – it needs 10,000 to go before State Parliament.
