It’s nearly 300 kilometres from the nearest beach, but Tamworth OzTag players will soon get the experience of playing on sand.

A new tournament has been announced for September at the AELEC- which will double as a farewell to the league’s co-founder.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
