Australian first “Medibus” for diabetes rolls out to Hunter New England region

A quarter of a million people live in rural and remote parts of the Hunter New England Health District and specialist care for diabetes is a long way away for many of them.

But now an Australian-first bus is set to take health professionals to the bush.

• Newcastle – July
• Lower Mid North Coast – 12-15 August
• Tamworth – 16-19 September
• Upper Hunter – 27 October-7 November
• Lower Mid North Coast – 17–19 November
