Carter Thompson announces himself to the world with maiden Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup victory

The Central Coast’s Carter Thompson has claimed the biggest victory of his fledgling motorsport career – winning a Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup race overnight.

The 17-year-old overcame a penalty to beat some of the world’s best youngsters on two wheels.
