Man dies following crash in Kempsey
On the Mid North Coast, a 61-year-old man died following a crash just before midnight last night.
Police were called to Middleton Street, South Kempsey, where they discovered a Toyota Prado 4WD had crashed into a concrete culvert which caused the vehicle to roll and land on the offside on the roadway.
The driver died at the scene.
Man dies following two-vehicle crash in Hunter Region
About 6pm last night, a 19-year-old motorcyclist attempted to turn onto the Golden Highway at Mount Thorley as an Isuzu D-Max was travelling east along Putty Road, when the two vehicles collided.
The 19-year-old man – died at the scene.
The 60-year-old driver of the Isuzu D-Max – was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are underway.
Fatal motorcycle crash in Forster
A 21-year-old learner motorbike rider also died in a single-vehicle crash on Coomba Road near Forster around 4:30pm yesterday afternoon.
Officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Police District arrived to find a motorcycle had gone down an embankment before hitting a tree.
The young man died at the scene.
Woman dies following single vehicle crash on the Mid North Coast
Meanwhile 20km south west of Wauchope a female driver has died.
Emergency services were called to Comboyne Road, Byabarra around 2.30pm yesterday, where they found a Subaru sedan had crashed into a tree before catching alight.
The driver – who is believed to be a woman aged in her 70s – died at the scene.

Police are again out in force across the state this Anzac Day long weekend, with a warning to drivers that one bad decision can take a life and changes another’s forever.
Police will target risky driver behaviour such as drink; drug; dangerous, and distracted driving, as well as speeding; not wearing seatbelts; and mobile phone use.
Minister for Police and Counter-Terrorism Yasmin Catley said all road users are being warned that if they do the wrong thing, police will catch them.
“If you’re thinking about speeding, texting while driving, or getting behind the wheel after a few drinks – think again,” Minister Catley said.
“It’s not worth your life, or the life of someone else.”
